Public Transport and Fare Increases: Motion [Private Members] Dail Éireann — 2026-09-29 ============================================================ Ann Graves (SF), Dublin Fingal East Demanding that people pay more for public transport in a cost-of-living crisis is wrong on every level. It just cannot go ahead. The Government is clearly removed from the day-to-day struggles of ordinary families as they try to make ends meet. If there was any commitment to reducing emissions, the Minister would be making public transport more affordable, reliable and accessible for even more people. In Dublin Fingal East, the transport system is a joke. I listened to people speak at the Swords Senior Citizens Club AGM last night. It was notable that no Government parties were represented. The Minister was not there. --- Source: Houses of the Oireachtas. Licensed under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
